[Bug] Archiver: when deleting an archive, the control flow is lost (return-to should go to https://example.com/archives/ but does not)

How to reproduce: When deleting an archive, the confirmation page for the requested delete action is (correct) https://example.com/archives/list/test@example.com/delete/ When you now click the button DELETE, then the web control flow ist lost. BUG Instead of https://example.com/archives/ the https://example.com is shown, which appears to be a bug. REMARK: The archive-to-be-deleted was indeed deleted. This behaviour was observed with both installations on a fresh server: - debian12 install (package mailman3-full) ; and - venv install (recommended on your page)

Apologies if I've not found a previous post for this; I did look before starting a new thread. We migrated a number of mailman lists last weekend and I spotted this evening that an email from the list contained a footer along the lines of the following (all bits in CAPITALS were successfully representing the list. ===== LISTNAME mailing-list -- LISTNAME@DOMAIN To unsubscribe, email LISTNAME-unsubscribe@%(host_name)s ===== 1) I don't know why %(host_name)s hasn't been automagically substituted 2) I can't find anywhere to change this footer in the Mailman3 Postorius interface

After importing my old databases, the mail local_recipient map is suddenly not working any more

After importing old databases everythimng looks fine now. But the mail local_recipient maps are not working (/etc/postfix/main.cf looks fine, as before, and postfix was restarted). Mails to test(a)example.org rejected with Error 550 Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table /* as in your installation guide */ transport_maps = hash:/var/lib/mailman3/data/postfix_lmtp local_recipient_maps = $alias_maps hash:/var/lib/mailman3/data/postfix_lmtp relay_domains = hash:/var/lib/mailman3/data/postfix_domains The files appears to be present: /var/lib/mailman3/data# dir 4 -rw-rw---- 1 mailman mailman 339 Oct 20 21:13 postfix_domains 8 -rw-r----- 1 mailman mailman 12288 Oct 20 21:13 postfix_domains.db 4 -rw-rw---- 1 mailman mailman 2714 Oct 20 21:13 postfix_lmtp 12 -rw-r----- 1 mailman mailman 12288 Oct 20 21:13 postfix_lmtp.db What else is needed to get the list-addresses working and not rejected? It worked before the import.

Memory issues on a small server with 2 GB RAM - Question: Has anyone a similar server up and running with mailman3 ?

I see that about every 15 minutes (or later), tasks are killed by the systems OOM-Killer (out-of-memory). Is there something wrong with the current Tom Sawyer version, or is this specific server's memory size too low? Remark: I already reduced the mariadb innodb-buffer pool to ~100 MB (because mariadb got killed now and then before this change). Now it is our lovely mailman3 which got killed as the program with the largest memory footprint... Any idea?

Mailman Core 3.3.9 Release

Hello Everyone, Mailman 3.3.9 is now published to PyPI! Thanks to everyone who helped make this release possible. Minimum supported Python version for this release is 3.9, we had to drop support for 3.7 & 3.8 due to incompatibilities with importlib-resources package. Maximum Python version supported right now is 3.11, we haven't yet added 3.12 to CI, so un-sure if there are any errors there. [Older bug, but still unsolved] When deleting one or more threads in an archive, django send error mails (based upon "Thread matching query does not exist")

I installed the venv version to scrutizine whether this old bug is still present (yes it is). How to reproduce: Delete one thread in via the archive - thread - view page. Remark: Thread is deleted as wanted. However, django complains via several (here: two) error mails: 1st mail: [Django] ERROR (EXTERNAL IP): Internal Server Error: /archives/list/test(a)example.com/top-threads Internal Server Error: /archives/list/test(a)example.com/top-threads DoesNotExist at /archives/list/test(a)example.com/top-threads Thread matching query does not exist. ... 2nd mail: [Django] ERROR (EXTERNAL IP): Internal Server Error: /archives/list/test(a)example.com/posted-to Internal Server Error: /archives/list/test(a)example.com/posted-to DoesNotExist at /archives/list/test(a)example.com/posted-to Thread matching query does not exist. ... I wish to fix this problem, how can I help, what can I do? Do you need the full error stack?

Mailman3 Development Related List?

I have some technical questions around custom plugins for Mailman3, related to DB access, etc. within a specific custom plugin. Is there a dedicated list for that, or is this list proper for such questions? Namely, I'm searching for more information regarding existing interfaces, etc. that're exposed from different mailman.* python components and whether we can utilize those without having to implement extra psycopg2 instances/connectivity, etc. but don't want to bombard the users list with technical chatter unless it's intended to be used that way. Moving mm3 -> mm3 to different host

Hi all, There are lots of threads for mm2 -> mm3 moves, but only one thread mm3 -> mm3. Some time ago, I found a post from Mark, explaining the steps, but I can't find it again. I have created a working mm3 installation on the new host with both mailman and mail-web dbs imported. hyperkitty archive seems to in the db. What are the next steps to complete the transfer? - rsyncing messages, lists and templates to new host - Setting up DNS CNAMES to the new server - Adapting exim to accept mails to the aliased domain - Can I keep the old listname, with the old domain name? -What else has to be done ? Unusual behavior: Standard discussion lists with prefix are sometimes having prefix *dropped*

I noticed some unusual behavior in Mailman3 stable release on PyPI and such. Namely, there are instances where replies are being processed and the prefix tags are simply being **lost** and dropped by Mailman3, instead of being properly prepended where they're supposed to go. Is this a known bug or does it need its own bug in the gitlab tracker? Thomas
